Our Pastor

Rev. Pastor babu Thomas

Our Pastor, Rev. Babu Thomas, was born in Thrikkannamangal, Kottarakara, in Kerala, India.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of nine, was baptized at eighteen, and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit at twenty.  After high school, he moved to New Delhi in 1978 where he worked in different organizations until 1985.  He was very active in the youth ministry and the church while he was there.  His close associations with famous servants of God like Pastor K.T. Thomas and Pastor K. Joy gave him a wealth of knowledge in the church ministry.  From 1985 to 2000, he was in Saudi Arabia in connection with his secular job, and became a pastor of a congregation there in 1991.  In 1996, he was ordained by Rev. Dr. T.G. Koshy, the then president of Sharon Fellowship Churches at Thiruvalla, Kerala, India.

In 1988, he married his wife, Gracy, who joined him in Saudi Arabia in 1989.  God blessed them with four children: Elise, Elina, Joel, and Joshua. All of them are saved and actively involved in the ministry.

In 1999, Pr. Babu lost his job in Saudi Arabia because of his faith, but God opened a new door for him to come to the United States in 2001 with his family.  After they arrived in Memphis, Tennessee, they started a Children’s Ministry, Prayer Meeting, and Bible Study held every Saturday at their apartment which continues in their home to this day.

In 2005, on the basis several prophecies and divine inspiration, they started the Sunday morning service in their home which later moved to the current location.  Pr. Babu has a great passion for unsaved souls, and he has encouraged many to join the ministry.  Many of his disciples have become pastors, teachers, and even convention speakers. Pr. Babu belongs to Sharon Fellowship Churches and has held several key positions.

He also has close relationships with leaders of other Pentecostal churches in India and abroad. After reaching the United States, Pr. Babu continued his secular education and graduated from the University of Memphis with a Master of Science in Accounting in 2013.  He is currently doing his theological studies (Master of Christian Studies) at Union University, Memphis, in addition to his ministry and secular job.  His ambition is to earn a doctorate in theology.
